Agnes Scott College is an independent national liberal arts college for women founded in 1889 whose mission is to educate women to think deeply, live honorably, and engage the intellectual and social challenges of their times. ESL Program and/or Support Services

Agnes Scott does not have an ESL program. However, all students take advantage of the Center for Writing and Speaking, and other peer-tutoring centers to enhance student learning.

Admission Requirements for First Year and Transfer Students

International students must satisfactorily complete a course of study equivalent to that of U.S. applicants. They must present TOEFL scores or the IELTS if English is not their native language or language of instruction. International students must also verify their ability to pay without working off campus unless they have a visa that allows them to work. They have the option to submit either SAT or ACT scores; have an evaluative interview by Skype with an Agnes Scott representative; or submit a graded writing sample with teacher comments and the grade.

Financial aid
Agnes Scott awards international students merit scholarships for academic merit. International merit awards range from $5,000 to $20,000 per year. To be considered for a merit scholarship, an international student must submit her application for admission by January 15 and complete the International Application for Financial Aid.

Agnes Scott offers at least one Marvin B. Perry Presidential Scholarship to international students. The Presidential Scholarship covers full tuition, room and board for four years of study. A student chosen as a Marvin B. Perry Presidential Scholar must excel in academics, leadership, character and personal achievement. No separate application is required, but to be considered, you must submit your application for admission no later than January 15.

Agnes Scott has more than 100 student-led organizations and clubs on campus, including international student organizations.

Application Deadlines

The priority application deadline for international students who wish to enroll for fall semester and who wish to be considered for merit awards is January 15. The regular decision deadline is March 15. Applications received after March 1 will be accepted on a space-available basis.

Notification of admission is made on a rolling basis.  Notification of scholarships and financial aid (if applicable) begins in mid-March
